Review of Santa Cruz Post Acute

5 Star User Review

My stay at Kindred went very well. I actually got discharged from the hospital to home. My doctor suggested id come to a facility to to get some therapy and so they can help with my wound. I have no regrets coming to this facility. The services and the people here where wonderful. The nurses and CNA's made me feel like i was their only patient when I knew they had other people to take care of. Every time I needed something they came at a timely manner and asked what I needed and tried to do it as soon as they could. When the nurse or the CNA's were busy with someone else and I too needed help they came and told me id be next and it will be a few minutes and I liked that because that assured me that they knew i needed something and they were going to come back and help me. The facility always smelled nice and clean. My room was always cleaned by housekeeping. I especially like the room I was in. It was by the patio and there was plenty of room for my friends and family to visit. Im used to eating what i wanted at home but here I ate the food it wasn't to my liking but it was way better than the hospital food and coffee too tasted better here at the facility. They offered me substitutes if i didn't like the food that was being served at the time. Therapy went very well, i'm an older man and the rehab people know how to work you out. Even though I didn't need much rehab i still participated and the rehab department gave me good advice on how to keep myself steady on my feet. Although my biggest concern was my wound. Im leaving the facility with no wound vac and smaller wound that I can manage at home. I'm happy I'm going home but I am going to miss the people and services here. My discharged plan was very organized to getting my medications sent to my pharmacy to setting me up with VNA to see me at home and change my dressings. Im very pleased I stayed at Kindred, and if I had to go back for any reason this facility would be my first choice.
