I wouldn't even give this place 1 star but it wouldn't let me post unless I did! Where do I begin, First my daughter that is 23 went into this place out of Marin County Hospital around may or june of 2011 I believe. She was talking, walking and improving but as of 2/1/2012 she can't really speak, doesn't even walk or have the strength to. She had dropped a lot of weight. I live in texas and ever since the doctor in the facility, Dr.Hamblin, wanted around Sept. to just put in a IV drip and give her a month to live I have been working feverishly to get her out of that place. I demanded a stomach feeding tube to be put back in her since when she got there they removed it. I had to press the matter to get him to do this for her. Then the Social Worker there thought it would be better to have a CNA to travel with her to Texas and found one there to do it. Charging me 500 dollars plus airfare. 2 hours before they were to board the plane he had left a message on my phone that he was unable to do it. I called and talked to Kelli the social worker and all I got was excuses that is was illegal and kickbacks and the administration much of scared Michael. Really??? Your idea and yet it's illegal???? Had to get me other daughter to go to Cali and get her. Kelli, the social worker, said she would give her some items for the trip. Didn't happen! Above all this they didn't even send any of her clothing back with her. Had to go and buy her some before the plane landed. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this facility to anyone that I cared about! This is my experience. I hope if you choose it works out better for your loved one.
