Horrible place!!!
Glendora Canyon Transitional Care Unit Glendora, California 91741
I had a pleasant stay at this facility. The food was pretty good, staff was accommodating to my needs. I was most pleased with the therapy because I was able to focus on getting up and walking. E.M.

This is a very clean facility with polite staff. They made me feel like " I was looked after at home" Top notch. M.C.

My mother has been in this facility for years due to her only having medi medi insurance. 90 per cent of the nursing staff is caring and loving. The management and related staff has turned over at least three times with a name change each time since my mother has been there. This new management is the worst yet. The food is so substandard a dog wouldn't eat it. they just recently brought in their own staff and to save money buy the cheapest most horrible food and the kitchen staff are the worst ever. The residents are unhappy and losing weight. Even though the ombudsman have been called in about this it is getting worse. The management should be made to eat the food they force the helpless to eat!!! Also three incidents involving three staff members. involving stealing. and inappropriate behavior have only resulted in the parties moved to another assignment in the facility. Also they now have loud aggressive psyche patients in with helpless elders terrorizing them running in and out of their rooms stealing from them and hitting them. The management when confronted is complacent uncaring in every way

One of my clients is recently staying there. When I went to visit, the smell was overwhelming. The rooms look broken down. There was an incident where a patient lost his temper and threw all the plastics cups on floor and was screaming to my surprise no one attempted to calm him down and just let him walk away screaming. It really upset my client. When I tried to get information on my client's records and medical goals no one was available to speak with me. Instead I was just handed his file to read and attempt to make sense of all the file. My client is there to get better not to stay there. If no one is helping his diet and physical therapy then….how else is he supposed to get better?

I have a loved one staying in the alzheimer wing. the people working there are nice.
The noise level day and night can get over whelming none of the floors are covered so it is cold and cause an echo like effect I can't believe none slips on the floors.
There is almost always and bit of offensive odor.
ANY personal property is quickly removed by someone and never found or returned again. We have lost a wedding ring after a shower, they claim he took it off and they did not see it. 4 blanketss with his name sewn on them. 3 small clock radios even though they were velcro to the dresser, countless pairs of white socks with name on them and 4 or more really nice warm pieces of outerwear.
They don;t make sure he brushes his teeth 2 times a day. He is lucky if they remind him at all. He dosen't always get the nighttime snack because they think he is asleep. I could go on about the lack of attention to details like this but for the most part his doctor orders are followed and so long as he is quite they like it that way.
