Review of Palomar Heights Post Acute Rehab

2 Star User Review

Staff is congenial for the most part. Record keeping for Physical Therapy is NOT

GOOD. Tried to charge me $.25 per copy for 1st 100 pages of Medical Records &

$.50 copy after 100. I paid $90 for records. When I complained to Administrator, I

got the $90 back (strange). Also, both doctors from Graybill would not return my calls nor schedule an appointment to discuss prognosis. Graybill rep seems to have trouble answering questions "truthfully" & is non-responsive. While staff is congenial, persons of authority are very vague when answering questions except for the person in charge of discharge who seemed truthful & is very helpful.

Yes, our medical facilities do have a fee schedule for copying medical records. I had spent many hours with this friend of our patient trying to assist him in understanding the services we were providing, acting as a liaison between the him and the patient's attending physician, and helping him to understand his friends overall medical condition. When he approached me about the cost of photocopying the medical record (yes, he met HIPAA criteria to see the record), I was more than willing to waive the fee.
