While a Certified Nurse Assistant was assisting a patient in a wheelchair with leg exercises, the wheelchair fell backwards and the patient’s head hit the floor. The resulting emergency room diagnosis was concussion and the patient had to have sutures.
A patient with breathing problems, low blood pressure, etc. had to insist three times that a Certified Nurse Assistant call an ambulance for transport to an emergency room before any action was taken. The emergency room doctor diagnosed pneumonia and admitted the patient to hospital for three days.
Encinitas Nursing and Rehab. is obviously an organization that focuses on monetary profit.
