Review of Magnolia Post Acute Care

They provide only the minimum that the insurance will cover. They don’t go the extra mile. In fact Mom’s condition worsened after spending only two weeks there. She was walking with a walker before she entered and now she can’t even stand on her own as her legs have become weaker while just lying around. After all walking with her is considered therapy and the insurance covers 1hr a day therapy. Not enough time for physical, speech and occupational therapies. Partially the insurance company is at fault but the care facilities is completely unorganized and has all her records separated into four groups . And the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.

Not surprised at all. These places are in general "storage units for elder people"….I suggest anyone with an aging parent that: way before you need any service visit and get familiar with the "special" care . I'm sure you will find out that is not so special and the staff is for the most part overworked and underpaid. The results are obviously that maybe you will consider, if possible, take care of your family member at home.
