Review of University Retirement Community at Davis

1 Star User Review

Its fine as Long as you don't care about all the money that you worked so hard for and don't mind giving up your life savings to move in. Watch the contract, there is no recourse if your not happy or if you run out of money. They will take every last dime you have and then kick you out after they have taken you for everything that you have

University Retirement Community at Davis, Inc. (“URC”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that provides housing, healthcare, and hospitality to seniors. URC is also a fully accredited and licensed Continuing Care Retirement Community (“CCRC”) which enjoys an outstanding reputation in the senior living industry and with URC residents. URC is closely regulated by the Department of Social Services and the Department of Health Services, among other protection agencies.

URC does not comment publicly regarding the circumstances surrounding decisions made by its residents. However, this anonymous review is inaccurate and without any basis in fact, and URC disagrees in the strongest terms with the characterization of URC.

URC has a full entry fee refund guarantee for residents that depart from URC (whether by voluntary relocation or death) within the first 90 days of residency; after such time entry fees are refundable on a sliding scale during the first 3-years of residency. Additionally, URC has established its own foundation to assist URC residents who, through no fault of their own, do not have sufficient resources to otherwise continue residing at URC. URC has never required a resident to leave its community due to an inability to pay. URC also provides services to moderate and very-low income seniors on campus.
