Review of Healthcare Center of Orange County

This "hospital facility" left my father to practically die. He was sent to this facility to recover from pneumonia. He fell out of bed the first night after being warned that he tends to forget where he is and tries to get up. He was left in his hospital type bed and forgotten. Alarms would sound and no one would bother to get up and check what the patients needed. After only two days upon my father's arrival, I went to check on him and found that he was gasping each breathe. They had him hooked up to a machine scared and alone. His oxygen level was low and his heart rate was elevated. His monitor would beep every few minutes and no one would check on him. My family and I had to call and ambulance to get him out of there. All of this was going on while staff sat behind the desk looking like they could care less about my father's well-being. When we arrived at the ER the doctors were baffled. They couldn't believe how badle my father's health had deteriated after being at knott avenue for just two days. He was in septic shock and at death's door. Somehow the doctors at La Palma hospital managed to realize that my father's infection had spiraled out of control from a bladder infection that we had suspected and told the nurses at knott avenue to check on. If we hadn't called the ambulance to take my father to the hospital I don't think my father would be alive today. Knott avenue almost killed my father! Never take a loved one there,
