I can't stress enough - run don't walk - away from this disaster. Our mother was a fall risk and yet staff did nothing to minimize her risk. They had a care plan but chose not to follow it. In fact we were told that they had the right to fall down. She wanted out and had a panic attack so they gave her a drug to keep her calm that we later found the FDA says is a Black Box drug that should never be given to people in nursing homes because it doubles the risk of death of people in these kinds of facilities. We couldn't get her moved to another facility in time to save her life. Within a couple of days of this medication being administered she fell, split her head open and lapsed into a coma, and died within the week.
