Me and my family have had a terrible experience with another facility that is owned by Crown Point Resort; that is Cedar Glade Resort in Horseshoe Bend, AR. As a result of unsuspectingly being put into hazardous toxic mold conditions in room 2121, me and my daughter have been very, very ill. My sister went down to inspect these rooms prior to my making the reservations, and she was shown, what she was told was a "newly renovated" room (this was room 2121), and I specifically asked for the newly renovated rooms. We had no idea what we had been put into until after my son's 20 mo old foster child went into a severe asthma attack their 1st night into room 2122 on 7/2 and had to get her out. Because my daughter and her husband owns a large air quality inspection co. in GA, she immediately became suspicious, and once we got them out of that room on 7/3, that night my daughter went in to do an inspection and found all the mold behind the wallpapered areas. Not only did she find this, but she found a rat trap with the poison still in it in the corner of the shelf. She took samples of the mold and wallpaper, as well as pictures of all. The next morning, 7/4, because I started to have labored breathing as soon as we entered this room on 7/1 (I have pre-exisitng lung diseases), and began an inspection, and again, found it all behind the wallpapered areas. She took samples, pictures, etc., and we checked out immediately (we were supposed to stay another couple of days). She immediately sent the samples to their certified lab, SanAir Labs in VA, to be evaluated and the results were very bad in our room (2121), to say the least. Because I had pre-exisiting lung diseases, the aspergillus and penicillium molds that were found in heavy concentrations if our room attacked my lungs immediately (that is why my breathing was so labored from the get-go), I have an invasive fungal infection which is taken into your lungs via inhalation, and then spreads into your vital organs. It is called Aspergillosis of the Lungs and has a 90% mortality rate. I have very high levels of the worse mycotoxins in my body; one being Aflotoxin which is the worse carcenogenic in the world. Three fungal colonies were also found which are directly related to the aspergillius and pencillium molds found in our room. My daughter was also found with mycotoxins (levels not as high as mine), but no fungal colonies found in her. She has suffered with severe migraine headaches 24/7, and has been diagnosed with a level 2 stroke. All a result of the hazardous toxic environment we had been put into at this Cedar Glade Resort, after my sister and I were told we were being put into "newly renovated" rooms. I will, in all likelihood, lose my life from this exposure. I know where this Crownpoint Health & Rehab Center is located. It used to be an old nursing home (my grandmother was in this place), and the conditions were so bad back when she was there and having remained vacant for many years, anyone going into this facility had better take mold inspection equipment with them. And you cannot rely on either the local dept. of health or the state dept. of health. I know, as I have already been there and done that. People going into this new facility are people with pre-exisitng health problems, and you had better know what may lay in the wall cavities of this facility. We didn't know at Cedar Glade, and our lives have been destroyed because of it!!! Heed my warning!!!
