My 93 year old mother was in La Estancia for a month this year recovering from a fractured pelvis and fractured clavicle. Since I lived nearby I was in and out several times a day and tried to eat on meal with her in their "ortho" dining room. The staff was excellent, the food pretty good for institutional food with lots of options, and the therapists wonderful. Her private room was large and comfortable. They offer therapy 7 days a week, which most places don't, and that helps for a speedier recovery.
