My handicapped brother was there for rehab. I was with him the whole time. In the first 15 minutes i saw a roach in his room.

There was no bathroom, not even a sink in the room.

In the first 24 hours 6 people changed his diaper. Every one of them left him in wet clothes on a wet bed. When i talked to the coordinator she fixed the problem for about 24 hours. The next person left him in wet clothes on a wet bed. I was asked not to push the call button unless he was really soaked.

We were supposed to be there 2 weeks. No way. Had to go.

This facility claims to be capable of caring for Alzheimer's patients, yet they are unable to. I do not think that this is due to ignorance. They are GROSSLY understaffed. Alzheimer's patients require 24/7 care. This does not include keeping them sleepy so that they are not a time consuming problem.

I have found my family member covered in food, in a urine soaked bed, urine soaked chair, dirty, and zonked out on PRN meds given every time it is legal (but not necessary) to do so. I cannot wait until a bed at a more attentive facility opens up.

The staff is friendly, and I truly think they care about the residents. There just aren't enough of them to go around.
