    1. Isolated: Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy
      • Immediately tell the resident, the resident's doctor, and a family member of situations (injury/decline/room, etc.) that affect the resident. (Corrected 2018-09-05)
      • Ensure that a nursing home area is free from accident hazards and provides adequate supervision to prevent accidents. (Corrected 2018-09-05)
    2. Isolated: No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy
      • Provide basic life support, including CPR, prior to the arrival of emergency medical personnel , subject to physician orders and the residentÂ’s advance directives. (Corrected 2018-09-05)

You may file a complaint with your state if you have a concern about the quality of care you or your family member gets from a nursing home and do not get a satisfactory resolution from your nursing home.
